Famous Holiday Sugar Cookies
“Lynn’s note: Bake a batch of these and mail these to Jack in college.”
Ingredients
Mix together
3 sticks butter
1 cup powdered sugar
Mix in
3 cups flour
1 Tbsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Directions
Kneed this on a floured board. Roll thick and use cookie cutters to make holiday shapes. Bake at 300 to 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Do not over bake.
When cool, frost with:
1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 1 egg white
Color small batches with food coloring.
Trick: Frost the cookies with new, clean paint brushes. Use really small ones to make eyes on chicks, ghosts or Santa.
